Outdoor cam just died a few minutes after plugging in the solar panel

I hope it was just a coincidence but a 30 minutes or so after plugging it in it appears dead.

I checked back in on it to see if it had charged the batter, it was 80% and less then a half out later my app says 71% and the cam is offline. I am inside and there is a strange smell and the cam is very warm to the touch but all lights are dead.

I hope it was just an oddly timed event. I will try to test the solar panel output tomorrow on an old cell phone that I dont care about.

Wow sounds like bad panel,over voltage,and cooked the camera,looks like you will need call or open a return request/warranty replacement
