Option for Keyed-Alike Wyze Lock Bolt v2 or Kwikset SmartKey-Compatible Cylinder

I’d like to request a new feature for the Wyze Lock Bolt v2: the ability to order locks keyed alike, or even better, the ability to rekey them through a Kwikset SmartKey compatible cylinder.

Right now, the Lock Bolt v2 includes a physical key option, but customers who want to install multiple locks in one home or business cannot order them with matching keys. This creates unnecessary inconvenience for users who prefer a single-key system or who are upgrading several doors at once.

Why this improvement would be extremely helpful:

  • Multi-door convenience: Many homes and businesses install multiple Wyze locks. Having separate keys for each one is inconvenient and creates key management issues.

  • Industry-standard expectation: Traditional lock brands routinely offer keyed-alike sets, customers expect this option.

  • Improved customer adoption: A keyed-alike option removes friction for those replacing existing door hardware with smart locks.

  • Better usability for property managers & businesses: Locations with multiple access points—including rentals, small businesses, and multi-unit properties—require unified keying.

Even better: Add a Kwikset SmartKey compatible cylinder

If Wyze integrated a SmartKey-style cylinder, it would solve the keyed-alike problem entirely. Customers could easily rekey their Wyze Lock Bolt v2 to match any existing Kwikset key without needing special tools or a locksmith.

Benefits of SmartKey compatibility include:

  • Customer-controlled rekeying in seconds

  • No need for Wyze to manufacture keyed-alike sets

  • Perfect for users replacing one lock at a time

  • Massive appeal to landlords, property managers, and small facilities

  • A competitive advantage over other smart lock brands

Overall, adding either a keyed-alike option or SmartKey rekeyable cylinder would significantly improve the functionality and appeal of the Wyze Lock Bolt v2 and make it far more scalable for multi-lock households and businesses.

Thank you for considering this upgrade, it would be a major quality-of-life improvement and could attract many new users to the Wyze ecosystem.

I am in the same boat. I need 4 deadbolts and will not order until a like keyed option is available.

So the key isn’t changeable at all? If I lose my key of need to charge the key, I have to buy an entire new unit? That’s a fairly large drawback.

If this was in the Wishlist, I’d vote for it, especially for a Kwikset SmartKey-type of cylinder, and I’d want the same option for Palm Lock.

No, both Palm Lock and Lock Bolt v2 use cylinders with a Schlage SC1 keyway and I would expect the same experience with both:

I haven’t seen a Lock Bolt v2 Product Manager explicitly state the same thing about that product, so it would be good to get official word about that, but since these locks were both released so close together and both use the same keyway, I think it’s reasonable to expect mechanical similarities as far as rekeying would be concerned.
