My camera doesnt record my security light coming on anymore. I have tried settings nothing works. Please help
I know on the OG they released a firmware a while back to help prevent lights from triggering events as people usually do not want that, it generates lots of false alerts. Not sure if the v1/v2 got a similar update.
You could try turning up the motion detection sensitivity, but if it triggers on motion in the area, and not the light, that is probably by design.
I have the sensitivity at 100
Most people complain that lights going on and off are causing false alerts, so as far as I know Wyze has done work to make the cams ignore lights. I’m assuming you aren’t using the AI detection (Cam Plus feature to only detect people, animals, etc).
But wouldn’t the motion that triggered that light to turn on be what you want to trigger your videos?
No the motion is to far from the camera. Thats why i liked the camera coming on with the motion sensor light
Did it start after a firmware update?
Only other thing I can think is clean the lens, I was having a problem with one of my Panv3s where it started going into night mode when there was plenty of ambient light (and had never done it before). Cleaned the whole face including the lens, and it stopped doing it.

Can i downgrade firmware?
With most cams, yes (including the V1 and V2). Search for Wyze manual firmware update and follow those instructions. Though I would check first and see if it was in fact firmware, your post is tagged v1 and v2 and it doesn’t look like either of those have any recent updates.

Wasnt to long ago. But that might have been me not upgrading. Now i wish i had not. All 3 cameras
Try the manual downgrade, if it fixes it, turn off auto updates (or hit the “do not remind me” option when it asks).

Should i remove the numbers in the name? Demo_4.9.9.2351.bin
Instructions say “unzipped folder is named “demo.bin””
“8. Once the flash is complete, the status light will become flashing yellow and the camera will reboot itself.”
My camera flashes blue then stops with no lights? Does this mean its not working?
Sounds like it didn’t work. There is some confusion in the instructions when it says “folder”, I suspect that means “file” and you just put it on the root of the SD card. But each camera has a bit different instructions so you may have to toy with doing it a few different ways. Maybe the folder is supposed to be demo.bin and the file in there should be the one with the numbers.
