I am on my 4th Battery Cam Pro. The first two displayed a reddish tint. I tried all the troubleshooting steps including changing settings, resetting the camera, renaming the camera (that seemed to work for a hot second), etc. I called support and got two more cameras sent to me.. same problem with both!!
Was this a bad firmware? Does anyone else have this problem?
If you see a reddish tint, it normally means that the Night Mode IR is stuck. You would normally go to the Night Mode settings and Cycle through Off, On, and Auto to allow it to recover. Or some have tapped on the camera, with a bit of force to allow this to be corrected.
Do you mind sharing a screen shot of what you are seeing as well as your night vision settings? Having four cameras with stuck IR filter is almost impossible. Something else is going on here
From the posted pictures I see that you are comparing BCP to V4. See an issue with the Back Stairs Cam but not that much with the Back Yard Shed. It is a bit reddish but I think it has to do with the colour of the gravel on the pathway. You said that support sent you replacement cameras, do they perform the same?
Yes they all perform the same. There might be a bit of a difference due to the content/but when they are pointed at the same area, all 4 look exactly the same. Again, reset, tapped camera, did all the switching for IR/lights, etc., and worked for an hour with Wyze tech support. No changes or improvements. I am convinced this must be a manufacturer defect or software issue.
