Ok, I know there is a thread about issues with Daylight Savings Time errors affecting the turn on/off schedules for lamp sockets.
This is NOT my issue ! At least I don’t believe it is.
I have a Lamp Socket V2 connected to a Wyze Cam V4 overlooking my front porch. I have the schedule set up to turn the light on at sunset and off at sunrise. In my area, on 16 Sep 2026, those times are supposed to be 7:37 pm and 7:18 am,
I sync my cameras at least twice a week. My camera automations run when they are supposed to. But my Lamp Socket V2 turns on and off 2 FULL HOURS EARLY (to the minute)! ![]()
The schedule options in the LS settings (under Accessories) only allow up to 59 minutes of adjustment. It’s not enough. As a result, the light turns off in the morning while it’s still very dark outside (5:17 am!).
This poses a SAFETY HAZARD for anyone trying to take the steps between 5:17am through about 6:30 am when the sun starts to come up.
Wyze, if you’re listening, please do one of the following:
- FIX whatever code determines which time zone is the driver for sunset/sunrise so that it corresponds to the user’s home location.
- Provide the user a greater range of time adjustment in the settings (so I can set it to run 2 hrs later than sunset/sunrise, for example).
This feels like a very easy fix! PLEASE fix this once and for all. I’ve seen complaints about this issue for YEARS NOW! ![]()
