Rookie!
Yes the Wyze Cam Pan v3 can be powered by the floodlight.
Your other two questions I believe are no, but I need to verify to be sure.
True 'dat!
I am really excited about this one, I already placed an order and I will be installing it on my roof to be able to have a complete view on demand
The Outdoor Power Adapter specs state it is 5V2A. That tells me it will power the Pan V3, but it doesn’t have the L space connector.
So, why would Wyze release a product that states an outdoor power adapter is sold separately and not have it available?
Can the solar panel be used to power the new Wyze Cam Pan v3?
No. The solar panel only keeps the WCO battery “topped off.” It will not generate enough power for any other Wyze camera.
That happened when we released the v3 also. This time I think they really tried to have it released but missed by a week or two.
I don’t think the solar panel would supply enough power to keep it running.
Hi, I was just chatting with a Wyze representative a few hours ago and was told the Cam Pan v3 would not be able to connect to the Wyze Floodlights for power. I’m confused.
I can confirm via the Project Manager that the Wyze Cam Pan v3 can be powered from the floodlight as the secondary camera, it cannot be the main camera that lists the floodlight as an accessory, that will still need to be the Wyze Cam v3.
Do you know how many amps that port is? I’m guessing 2amps because the pan and v3pro require that, but I can’t find it in the tech specs
I am not sure, I will try and find out, I have just been told it will work to power the Wyze Cam Pan v3.
Ok, great. So if we plan to power the new pan cam v3 with the floodlight then we won’t need to have the outdoor adapter, correct?
C$60 on Wyze Canada. What?! Why do you like to rip us off? @WyzeTeam
From what I am being told that is correct.
I am sorry. There are some extra costs to having our cameras in Canada which adds a bit that is on top of the conversion rate, we still try to keep them as low as we can.
I got my Wyze Cam Pan v3 this morning. It is not supported in the Wyze app yet. Boo!
It is supported, at least on my iOS production app 2.38.3.3. I suspect it also works on Android 2.38.1.161, which was released the same day. Are you using the current version of the app?
