I ran my robot for the first time yesterday and it took 13 hours to complete the cleaning 1,720 sq ft section of our our mostly hardwood floored single story house. It took about 5 (maybe more but we were gone during part of the process) recharges. I noticed that the battery would recharge to about 58% capacity and then start cleaning again until it quickly ran down to below 10% capacity and return to the base unit to recharge. I understand that it is the first generation of a new product for Wyze, but my Roomba completes the same task with one recharge in about 2-3 hours. I ran it on “Strong” suction level and it did a nice job cleaning the house, but it needs some work to compete with the Roomba. The mapping looks great and my Roomba version does not have the ability to only run “targeted” cleaning jobs (and I am not going to buy a new top-tier unit for this function), so I am hoping that Wyze can work out some of the kinks…
have you updated it? that doesn’t sound like how it runs ( should be running)
Yes, I updated the firmware when I was notified of an update and moved the robot to a more open location. The robot works much better. I am still wondering why the robot only recharges to 60% before continuing the cleaning job. I would like to be able to set it to recharge to 100% so that it doesn’t have to recharge more than once…
