I talk to people through my closed glass storm door all the time. The glass acts as a resonator. The larger glass area the better. No idea how well the window-cam works at this though. The specs tout 100db output, so it should work.

You’d actually be amazed what a microphone and speaker right up against glass can pick up/transmit. Can’t speak for that cam but it probably actually works pretty decent.
