I want to connect my wyze cam pan to synology NAS, how do i do that?

Discourse forum software supports a feature for “Wiki” type projects. I have suggested multiple times that they enable this so that some of us could create certain Wiki articles that we could just refer people to instead of having to post the same thing anytime someone creates a new thread for the same subject/topic.

Basically, with the wiki stuff enabled we could just link people to it similarly to how we sometimes link people to support pages if they have created a support page for the subject. But with the wiki project in the discourse forum, we could have people even create entire walkthroughs, explanations, or a handbook or device manual. I have thought that I would consider posting some of my most in-depth posts into some kind of Wiki like that for reference if they ever enable it.

Thus far, I seem to be the only one who has had much interest in that though. :man_shrugging: It’s all good either way.

Hi again
Now I finally get micro SD card of 8GB (I saw YouTube that says you can’t use bigger then 8GB) and trying flash with the guide in the link you provided. It’s not working neither with 8GB or 32GB
I’m very near frustration because nothing is working
Please help someone

Format the card to FAT32.

Place the .bin file in the root directory of the SD card and rename it as instructed (ignore the parts about a folder, those should say “file”). There should be nothing else on the card.

Sometimes you need to try the update a few times as the camera is a bit sensitive to the timing of the button pressing.

I did everything you said. Formatted to fat32
Rename the file to demo.bin and put in root directory
The only thing I guess it’s maybe the timing as you said.
In the article it’s says to hold the setup button while plugging the camera to the wall. I did it at least 10 times. Any better tip when to press?
I wish I could make it work with the docker bridge instead the firmware flash

also while trying to map port 1935 like in the video it says that 1935 is in conflict with other service. so i used the local port to 1955 and the container port to 1935 and it worked. but still same issue : i entered the API key successfully and then when i entering the address with port 5080 (as described in video) it asks for username and password. when i entering the email and password it re asks for it (i checked multiple times and i did entered the right email and password)
i wish someone here could help
thanks

I don’t have any experience with doing this setup so hopefully @carverofchoice has some input, but what you’re doing is not a “supported” setup so it is expected that it will require some messing around and trial and error.

I wish I had more insight than I already gave above. I am not sure why it is not working for OP. :frowning:

Did you ever get it resolved, @dror.gh? Seems like the same issue I am having. I actually found that to bypass that login scree you add another variable, WB_AUTH set to false. That gets me the the Wyze screen. I can see my cams, as a snapshot. Only two really update, the rest are just a moment in time. When I try the video, they just spin. So I am maybe close. Any suggestions? No firewall running, network good, I think things are configured properly, since I am seeing the cams come up.
