HYPOTHETICAL smart switch with load wire in neutral terminal

Not trying to do this, just trying to understand what the terminals do.

This is a HYPOTHETICAL

If a Wyze switch is connected with the ground wire to the ground terminal, the common wire to the common terminal, and the load wire to the neutral terminal, that would power the switch and light, but the switch wouldn’t be able to open the circuit providing power to the light fixture, right? It would always be closed, forever supplying power to the switch and the light fixture?

Not really… You could get a neutral from the load what depending on what the load was but that would not feed the load wire at the same time. I guess there’s a chance it would feed the load but if it did you would be dividing the voltage across everything you now have in series so overall bad idea

mmm good point about the voltage. Thanks!
