One squirrel in my back yard with my Golden Retriever is enough.

My Golden Retriever turned 10 years old last month. He is doing well for his age.

Such a good dog, staying out of the garden. The squirrel probably does this on purpose, running back and forth behind the safety of the garden wall just to taunt its nemesis.
I had a squirrel to try to taunt my cat once…it didn’t go so well for the squirrel.

My Floodlight Pro captured this footage on it’s SD Card (continuous recording), this scene was not detected and sent to the Wyze Cloud by the Camera (very disappointed in discovering that)
We’ve lived here for 5 years, and this is actually the first recordings of Squirrels in our back yard (we see plenty of other wildlife, such as Coyotes, various birds, rabbits (not for awhile lately), raccoons (haven’t seen any this year), rats and mice.
Same event from a V4 on the ground of the Hawk failed attempt at a morning Squirrel snack (can’t see the squirrel as he’s ‘behind’ the green ant trap):

Did it return to retrieve its prize? That apple (I think) looked like a sizable haul that it tried to take before dropping the dead weight to escape the predator.
I got frustrated with the kludginess of trying to find the footage on the SD card of when the apple disappeared, the camera kept losing connection as I attempted to find who eventually took the apple (could of been a coyote) It was surprising to see it was a squirrel that took the two apples. (we occasionally will toss an apple or two out for the ‘local’ coyotes)
The hawk actually returned six minutes later, landing near the block wall and waited there for about two minutes before giving up on waiting for the squirrel to make another appearance.)
