The instructions say at 10’ high it will detect 30’ away. Where I want to mount the floodlight, it’s about 13.5’ high.
Is that too high? Will it still detect humans? If so, would that lessen the 30’ distance? How far away would it detect?

Yea 13 should be fine. Just adjust the angle of the PIR sensor module on the floodlight to get it working how you want.
