Headphones cracked above the swivel/ear pad

I was curious if anyone else has had issues with their headphones cracking above the area that swivels. I just received these in the mail after along wait and I really like the way they sound but literally have only used them a week and they cracked. I was thinking of replacing them but if they all are this weak and this is an issue I will just return it.

You get what you pay for, unfortunately. They replaced mine after it broke, but I’m starting to see cracks… and internal plastic is poping out of place when i stretch them to put on my head. I’m looking for ways to make it stronger and prevent further cracking.

Lucky I only use these for Airline use and streaming at night. Agree “You get what you pay for, unfortunately.” as these are Basic headphones and do not compare to JBL or Bose Noise Canceling Headphones. Let’s see how Wyze will Publicly address this issue.

I can confirm mine cracked. It will eventually completely fail. Trying to get them repaired.

Mine are doing the same. Swivel completely came off.

Will Wyze do anything?

I spent 40 years working in recording studios. I feel that I know how to treat equipment pretty well, including headphones. I bought the Wyze headphones when they first came out, and have been quite happy using them at home. I feel like they press too tightly on the ears (especially for those of us wearing glasses), but the one problem I have is that, like others in this thread, the piece above the swivel has broken, on one ear a year and a half after buying them, and on the other ear a few months later. All Wyze support will tell me is that they’re out of warranty and the plastic parts I need to replace are not available for sale. “If you need them to work, you’ll have to buy a new pair.” Well, NO I WON’T! I’m not spending around $100 for something I KNOW will break in a year or two. My Sony MDR-7506 headphones, used in recording studios everywhere, cost $100 and honestly sound better (though without ANR, Bluetooth and the bells and whistles), AND you can buy replacement earpads almost anywhere! From the messages here and elsewhere, Wyze has dropped the ball on customer service. For now, mine are taped up with white masking tape, which works for a few months at a time. The needed replacement parts can’t cost more than a few dollars, and Wyze should just have their Chinese suppliers ship them a few dozen to send to us early adopters as a thank you for sticking with the company. When my 6-year-old kitchen sink spray head broke, Kohler sent me a replacement free, because they stand behind their products. Logitech replaced my $80 keyboard free out of warranty, because they stand behind their products. If Wyze stood behind their products it would be to shield themselves from the tomatoes being thrown! Sorry for the rant, but it feels way overdue!
