Having the ability to connect to 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz Wifi Connections

Would be nice if you could use either 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz wifi connections.

That would require hardware changes so certainly not going to happen in existing devices. I assume Wyze only put in a 2.4 GHz radio to help keep cost down.

As do hundreds if not thousands of other manufacturers.

Yep, this is impossible with current hardware. There is very little reason to add 5ghz, as the cameras won’t benefit from the extra bandwidth 5ghz provides. 2.4 is sufficient for the camera quality currently.

Also, 5ghz has a much smaller range, so it would need both radios which would increase cost.

Nevertheless, there is a wishlist request for this feature you could vote for if you want.

We can say that right now but the next generation of cameras will uniformly have both bands. It’s inevitable. My cheap two year old 2K floodcams already support both, just for example.

So yesterday my wife and I were just chilling on the couch, and all of a sudden, I get a text message from my neighbor John. So, I open the text message and it was so disgusting I wrote it down so I could read it to you guys. This is what it said. “Hey, its your neighbor John, I’ve been feeling so guilty lately that I haven’t been able to sleep and I think its time to confess. I’ve been helping myself to your wife when you’re at work probably more than you do. Its so incredible and so much fun and I haven’t been able to contain myself. Sometimes it goes on for hours. I know its no excuse but I don’t get any at my house. Anyway, I apologize and it won’t happen again.”

I read the message to my wife. I look at her and I go, you are disgusting cheating tramp. I never want to see you again in my life. I want a divorce and you are nasty; you are grimy, you are disgusting. I don’t want to see you again.

So right before my wife went to speak, I get another text message from John. So, I open the message and it says, “darn, I really hate autocorrect. I meant to say WiFi.?
