I mean, 7 years is pretty old for a phone, I tend to keep mine a long time, but my current Pixel 4a 5G is probably my record at 4 years now.

Fair enough, maybe there’s a reason they can’t or don’t want to restore hardware decoder as an option with #1 best-selling home security cam in the country, v3, as they have with the newer cams.

Considering it just reappeared on the Panv3 and the v4, maybe the v3 is in the works (different interface, maybe different team needs to update it).
BTW, the developers’ option workaround didn’t have any staying power. Ephemeral. ![]()
