I absolutely hate that the floodlight uses cool white LED’s. I wish it was a warmer temperature LED light. Can you make or can anyone suggest maybe a filter that can be placed over the floods to make the light warmer?
I’m on my third filter now. Ordered a number of things from Amazon and nothing has worked. Just ordered a color correction filter from Adorama and we’ll see how that goes.
Here’s what DIDN’T work so far:
- Lamin-x One 4 inch x 8 inch Universal Film Cover (Color : Yellow)
- LightDims White Dims Dimming/Softening Sheets for Harsh LED Lights Extra Large Size (3 Sheets) Warm Color
I’ll update after I get this third one up.
Thanks
Did some reading online and it looks like an orange filter would bring cool white LED’s to a warmer light.
This is what I used. Now the light is a nice 3200 degree warm: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08814CBJS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
That’s what I was thinking to use. How did you apply it to your floods? If you had pictures that would help.
Pretty low rent installation…I cut the gel to the size of the lamp lens, then used Gorilla waterproof clear tape to affix it to the lamp housing. Not pretty, but it works.
Cutting them to the exact shape of the lens is my concern.
