I’m honestly kind of surprised that Wyze buried the Lite functionality in the app, and that this wasn’t just a streamlined transition. Honestly, how did you anticipate this playing out? I mean, I can usually navigate these things on my own, and here I am, sifting through a help forum. It is absolutely not intuitive.

Further, I am absolutely shocked that there isn’t a pinned video post on facebook and reddit explaining exactly how to configure the app / cameras for cam plus lite, like, the instant people started screaming.

If only it were foreseeable…

This is mostly great news, and thanks Wyze. However some customers expecting the out of the box plain vanilla old deal are going to be (a) annoyed to discover the cloud recordings are suddenly gone one day and/or (b) annoyed at the subtly aggressive upselling if/when they try to get CamPlus Lite for $0 or anything less than “recommended”. I can see a lot of angry people, normally not checking Wyze feeds but one day looking for a significant event who are shocked to find recordings were turned off months prior.
