We installed the doorbell in October of 2021. It was glitchy installing it with a mesh system since it only works on the 2.4. Been working fine since we dumped the mesh and kept the router frequencies independent. Our biggest disappointment is that after only 1 year the white plastic face has yellowed noticably. It does get direct sunlight.

You are correct. The plastic used for the doorbell is not UV resistant. Mine is also yellowed from exposure to direct sunlight.
