Contact Sensor Freezing

Has anyone come across a solution for cold?

I have a contact sensor that is on a metal drop-in mailbox attached to the house. It is sheltered from the elements but when it gets really cold (below 40F), it goes offline. If I bring it inside, it’s fine.

Need to keep it undetectable. It’s in a black 3D printed enclosure (bought on Esty), Command taped to the side, magnet on lid. You won’t see it unless you look. Even the mail carrier hasn’t seen it and it’s right in his face when he delivers.

Most likely, your contact sensor batteries are not rated for cold weather.
