Can the V4 can be used with the lamp socket. I have been trying but when I connect the camera to it I can’t get it to connect.

I don’t have direct experience with that, but according to the Accessory Compatibility chart it does.
Well you can enter the app, go to the camera connected to the lamp socket(s), use the app to manually turn on the lamp sockets . Then if you do anything other than exit the app immediately, the lamp sockets turn off. If you successfully exit the app and re-enter the app to view the picture from the camera…the lamp sockets turn off.
I don’t call that working!
