I was surprised to have the following function change in the Cam Pan V4 over the Cam Pan V3 confirmed. I have copied the AI response since it might be useful to be more visible to others planning my use case.
I currently use the Cam Pan V3 to monitor my elderly but somewhat independent mother at night using events so that we see how often she is up. At the same time, we want to get alerts if she calls out using a Talk detection Event and Notify. The Cam Pan V4 unfortunately cannot do this.

Event Tagging & Notification System: On Wyze Cam Pan v4, enabling notifications for specific events (such as talking) requires you to enable “All Events” with the appropriate Tags and Notify options checked. This means that, at this time, you cannot receive only talking (sound) notifications without also enabling motion notifications.

Difference from Wyze Cam Pan v3: Wyze Cam Pan v3 allowed more granular control, letting you set alerts for talking or person events independently from motion. The current system on Pan v4 does not offer this same level of separation.

No Current Workaround: There is no way to receive only talking (sound) notifications on Pan v4 without also enabling motion notifications. This is a limitation of the current event detection and notification system on Pan v4.
