Can't connect new camera

Have a new V4 to replace suspected bad V4. This is one of two cameras that are supported by one android phone. The phone is still connected to one of the two old V4’s, but I can’t get the phone to connect to the new V4. Keep getting the message “pairing failed”. The phone is within five feet of the camera.

Is your phone on the 2.4GHz network during setup.?

The phone is not functioning as a phone at all. It is only being used to control the cameras. In other words there is no phone number associated with the phone.

As I understand it, Bluetooth is used during the setup process, but after setup wifi is the medium for communicating between the phone and the camera. I bring this up because I was able to accomplish setup with my Samsung S10 phone, but not with the site’s Google Pixel 10A phone. Meantime, the Pixel 10A can communicate with the other camera.

I wanted to unpair my personal S10 phone from the camera and I did so, and this required the camera be re-setup with the 10A.

I did contact Google about the problem and after trying numerous things they suggested a factory reset of the 10A, and if that doesn’t work take the phone to a Google service center.

It does seem to me that if my S10 Bluetooth function talks to the camera, but the site’s Pixel 10A doesn’t, then there is a problem with the phone.

It turned out I didn’t need a full factory reset of the phone. I was able to find the option in the 10A settings menu that allowed just the resetting of Bluetooth and Wifi. After completing that action I was able to pair the phone to the Wyze camera.
