Hey guys, I just received the duo cam doorbell, but seems I had forgotten to ask prior to purchasing it if I can use it with my existing Video Pro doorbell’s chime with this duo cam please?
Well, Support said the duo cam cannot work with the other chime, so my fault for expecting this and not checking first.
But what’s even more stupid is Wyze selling the duo cam without the chime and NOW saying you can’t get the chime for purchasing separately! And they are sorry for my inconvenience." I could believe my ears when I heard this earlier today.
Now I have to go through the returns processes to send this back, losing money on the return shipping then purchase a new one this time with the chime included.

My Duo came with the chime bundled.
There are 2 types selling on the net, one without and one with.
The WYZE web site only shows one Duo Cam and it comes with the chime.
Did you order from a different web site?
I just check it on the app and the one on there comes with a chime also.
No I did not order it from Wyze but will this time around. I am still confused why there is the other option being sold without the chime if the chime cannot be purchased separately.

Exactly, Luckily and thankfully the ebay seller has offered a full refund and return shipping so I won’t lose a cent. This time I will order it directly from Wyze.
I’m not sure why that’s still the case, but hopefully that’ll be remedied sooner rather than later. They said shortly after Duo Cam Doorbell’s launch last October that they were shooting to make Wi-Fi Chime available in December:
If you were installing in a wired configuration and wanted to actuate your home’s built-in chime (if you had one), then I’d share that I learned just today that they’ve finally made the Chime Controller available again as a separate purchase, but I still don’t see the Wi-Fi Chime for sale as an accessory.

What’s even more frustrating is that this page says explicitly “Wi-Fi chime sold separately”, which is a blatant lie, Wyze should be standing behind its product and either selling the chime separately as promised or offering a trade-in for the kit that includes the chime.
People are making misinformed purchase decisions and losing money because of Wyze poor communication and quite frankly, stubborn customer support policies.
