My 5 Wyze Cam-Pan-v3’s do not seem to remember their waypoints that I set for more than a few days. I frequently pull them up & find them pointed at a wall or the ground, when I have customized the waypoints to only the areas I want. Often 30 degrees or more outside the zones I set. Yes, motion tracking is OFF
This is an old issue with pan cams. There are several threads about it.
Rule of thumb… set the left most waypoint as your last before you ‘Save’ the waypoints. I’ve done it this way and all my cameras revert back to this setting… I do have ‘Track Motion’ on some of them.
