I also hope this makes Micron reconsider their decision to scrap the consumer Crucial brand.

I had not seen that one, looks like I need to catch up on some reading!
Micron stock is freefalling, they’re now going to have a massive excess supply and no way to sell it to consumers.
I think Crucial will be back soon…. don’t bite the hand that feeds you in exchange for a hand that claims it will feed you at some point in the future. Especially when gamers were willing to pay pretty absurd prices for blinky lights and heatsinks on DIMMs that will never actually be pushed to their advertised rated limits.
Hopefully it trickles down to SSD and SD prices soon too, RAM has already started.
