Dark Mode please…, I used My Wyze Cam like a monitoring baby cam, I like see the night vision but the brightness of screen is terrible in middle of the night. Please add this feature

I totally agree. The Wyze app is difficult to read with tiny fonts and minimal contrast of typeface to background. A dark mode would help. Also allow font scaling either within the app or as applied by the device settings.

For those of you using Android. If you enable your developer settings in the system app, You can select the option to force dark theme. Worked perfect on my samsung s10+. Tried to post screenshot but not too savvy with all the html code stuff. Hope that this helps some of you.

This has been brought up before,seversl times.
It’s only on Android 10 and higher.
1000s of people are using Android 9 and older.

S9 user… why won’t they fix this for all of us already??? I’ve been wanting to purchase more products from WYZE, but I refuse to if they are not listening to us the users!!! Very upsetting actually… I go blind with the white theme… Give us a dark mode ASAP, please!!! >;( :disappointed: :rage: :triumph:

I agree. At least fix what is there. I know dark mode is out of the question but fixing what is there would be nice. Sometimes I have a difficult time finding a white button on a white background.

Hopefully this is not a repeated question…
Is there a possibility for Wyze to add dark theme to the App? It would be great if we have the option for Dark theme.

If you’d like to change the forum to dark theme, you can!
Go to your profile(top right), then “you”(the person icon), than interface. You can change it there.

This is not the case with iOS Wyze app. There is no interface option under profile

Hi @grielli The dark theme is on the #wishlist to be an option in the Wyze App.
Go to the #wishlist tagged above and Vote for it if you would like that as an option.

I remember years ago with Apple and their annual iOS update made all their interface windows as bright and obnoxious as white can get. It was their theme, bright white, modernized background. I hated the move then with a passion. And this was years before the yellow hue came into place for nighttime viewing.

Later, Android came and darkened everything. It was an instant hit and so much better on the eyes. my job supplies me with an iPhone so no android for me.

Years later, Apple came back and added dark mode to their Mac OS. Then a year or so later they finally introduced dark mode to their iOS. Everyone loved it like they re invented the wheel.

All this to say that I blame Apple for not setting the trend any sooner for a darker theme environment.

Companies like Wyze should be trend setters and not trend followers.

Dark mode is available for the forum, it is under preferences then interface.

So bummed that they can devote so much time and effort to writing code for a flurry of new products, but can’t take the time to fix the 3 major gripes with the app:

  1. email account changes without having to re-register every piece of Wyze products from scratch (many cameras are not easily accessed- especially those in another state)

  2. Dark mode. Or any interface change option.

Disappointingly I bought a new phone just to be able to have android 10’s native dark mode. It works on nearly every app except Wyze App.

They can write it into the forum app but not the app that means the most?

  1. how about an app for Mac/Win? Nothing worse than having to transfer clips to archive events, except being forced to view everthing on a tiny screen…

I’m not being petty. These are normal things most other companies consider for their clients: the paying customer, the end user.

We’ve been waiting patiently.
