Mine is working…kinda.
My dog is a person, my brother-in-law isn’t. 
Hopefully that means they are making progress. I’m really close to pulling my Wyze cams down for good if they don’t get person detection in order soon.
Every animal that comes in my yard is identified as a person my cat and including a possum. It does identify people as a person most of the time so far.
Same here. All people are detected as people but… it also thinks that some animals are people.
My cats would be offended if the camera identified them as merely people. That camera would have a short lifespan…
Cats have a great personality and the camera calls it as it sees it I guess. 
My cat definitely thinks she is a person.
My cats KNOW they are superior beings than peoples. After all everyone aspires to be a cat right?
Just noticed that my Complete Motion Caputure isn’t even working properly. I went out to take trash out to my curb and it only caught 20 seconds of me. I was out moving around in camera view for 4 minutes and CMC only captured 20 seconds. I’ve since restarted my cam, but what’s going on? We’re paying for this service. Why is this happening Wyze?
Not trying to be negative but I deactivated my cmc when person detection stopped as I was having all sorts of issues at that point… my person detections is working at 50% at the moment. I figure I’ll add cmc back when everything more stable. Maybe that’s a decent option for you as well? Could just be a bug though… my cameras have gone from perfect a few days ago to barely functional via person, sd card recognition, one cam turned off and refuses to come online, no lights and is acting dead. Seems the whole system had something happening (at least for me).
You have a point. This stuff is getting more and more frustrating by the day.
For what I have experienced for the last couple of months, the person detection has been very erratic for the most part behaving just like motion detection
reacting to anything that moves… plants, dogs, cats, wasps, flies, bugs, cloud shadows etc.
I have the same issue.
Specs of dust and dogs are people in my house.
Is there any way to change the notification sound to be different between when a person is detected instead of just motion? I’ve had very good luck with the new person detection on all my 9 cameras with only one squirrel being incorrectly detected as a person. I’m on a very busy street and I have 5 cameras that view that direction and I get a slew of notifications from the cars.
And now we know why advancement on Person Detection has stopped. So much for tech work. I was being patient, following the emails and FB posts on the camera updates etc. Then I saw this. NOW I am disappointed in the company!!!Now I am furious with the company!!!

Person Detection was actually rolled out today. To everyone. Just update to the latest app and there you go.

Person Detection was NOT rolled out to everyone. CMC customers still do not have person detection.
