How does this 3x increase make sense?
I only have 3 cameras. I don’t need an “Unlimited” plan for $10 more, so telling me to pay $99/year is not a solution. At that point, I might as well spend a little more and switch to Google for better AI detections and a better overall system.
Please bring back a cheaper plan for people with small setups. This pricing feels completely out of touch.
This is a user to user help forum, we don’t set the pricing. I don’t recall ever seeing a “3 cam” plan though, certainly not anything recently.
Here are the offerings… it’s saying that you have to get unlimited if you have more than 3 cameras. “Max 3 licenses per account”. Not sure why they would only allow 3??? and not 7 (for example)… what’s the difference to them? Might be a technical limitation but that doesn’t seem right either.
If you only have 3 cameras, then you are fine. $30 per year. done. Not sure what you are complaining about.
Canadian pricing?
After 3 cams, unlimited is cheaper, I’m guessing they don’t want people to make the mistake of having 4+ individual licenses then get mad that they’ve been paying too much.
3 cams is $90 per year, OP seems to be saying they used to get $35 per year for all 3, never heard of that.
Ya used to 34.99 USD per year for 3 Cams. Unless I’m Elon Musk, I should complain if the price gets jacked up 3x though…

Yeah, I wouldn’t touch anything Google has a hand in with a ten foot pole. They kill off products at a ridiculous rate. The KilledByGoogle site has the count @ 299 right now.
That’s a good deal, must have been some old plan you were grandfathered into for a while. Or maybe it was related to buying one of the multipacks that they sell through costco and others that come with a year of service, maybe they let you renew a few times at a discount rate?
If it makes you feel any better, this wasn’t some sudden price increase, it hasn’t been anywhere close to that price in years (if ever). Seems more like the end of a promotional rate.
Depending how much you use the features of Cam Plus, you may want to consider just using Micro SD cards instead. Obviously there are some things lost but for me it has been perfectly fine.
I’d echo the sentiment to avoid Google (same for amazon). Expensive products, still need subscription, and I’ve found the image quality to be pretty bad. There are better options out there, TP Link has some nice ones. I still think the Wyze image quality is a bit better than TP Link, but TP has some additional features that don’t need a subscription.
I am on the same Cam Plus Bundle for 3, originally available at https://services.wyze.com/purchase/checkout/camplus-bundle3-yearly for $34.99/year (for all 3 cams). I originally learned of this plan in this very forum in 2023. There are a bunch of older posts that mention it.
Just like the OP, I just got email that says it will renew at $29.99/cam/year.
I’m not happy either.
