Wyze Thermostat - Wiring Question

@dimashah that looks like a Honeywell IAQ thermostat. The board in your photo is the EIM for that thermostat. The EIM is essentially the thermostat that has all the brains in it. The display is what’s on the wall with temp/humidity sensors. You can bypass the EIM and run the wires directly to the thermostat on the wall. While it is do-able if you’re comfortable, having an HVAC technician is recommended for this instance to remove the EIM from the system.

@ Brian
If technician is not familiar with Wyze thermostat, does he need any documentation?

I’ve got trouble with install on Thermostat.
The old thermostat Y, C, W, G, RC, Also a red wire from RC to RH.
Wyze thermostat not working when all connected.

Remove black wire between Rc and Rh … not needed. Internal jumper.

Also make sure you use the app to setup thermostat, it tells the thermostat the profile of your system.

Hey Mark i removed the black wire.
I setup the app and no display on the screen showing.

You’ll need to check wiring at furnace. Does blue C wire go to C on furnace? Show pic.

@dimashah the Wyze thermostat is pretty standard and shouldn’t have an issue. Make sure R goes to Rc.

I have hooked a few basic Thermostats up before with no problems.
I can’t really tell If C goes to C on furnace.
The first picture shows C in the C spot.
Everything is in place.

R s/b hot (24v), and your blue (C) s/b neutral. They need to be a closed circuit/loop to your furnace. Without validating that, won’t know why your not getting power to the tstat. Also don’t know if your old tstat was powered by C closing the circuit loop.

I understand thanks for helping everyone.
This is the old unit before i took it off.

@ Brian
Thanks Brian, I’m not very good with electronics, but how do you connect it to the unit on the wall. Btw, I posted picture of it earlier if you’ll scroll up, you’ll see the unit with 3 wires and instead off letters only 3 numbers 1, 2, 3

@dimashah Correct, that is a communicating thermostat that requires the EIM. The HVAC technician will remove the EIM from the system and wire the Wyze directly to the equipment.

@Brian’s reply is spot on!
The technician should know to wire it up as a regular thermostat after removing the EIM.

How hard is to do? Is there instruction what wire goes where? Is it possible to do it by my self?

I’m unsure on bypassing the EIM, but wiring after that should be simple to do.
