Wyze Cam activates Iphone microphone remotely

HI
I have a new wyse cam I purhased through Amazon and I have noticed a strange error with the microphone

All software and Iphone software up to date.
My wife has reported that she can hear sounds from my iphone speaker through wyse cam without me starting the wyse cam app on my phone. THis normally happens remotely when I am away on business and watching netflix or youtube on my phone. my wife calls and tells me about the sounds in my room of me making dinner or just walking around the room. Also a couple of times when I have had the TV in the hotel on and netflix on the phone going at the same time. When I close netflix she starts to hear the tv program through the Wyse speaker.

Any suggestions?

Is it a V2 or Pan cam? Is the Wyze app running in the background on the phone with the push-to-talk button left engaged?

Interesting. Do you mean "My wife has reported that she can hear sounds from my iphone speaker", or from your iPhone microphone?

I have noticed something similar on my app, maybe or maybe not while connecting to Netflix or YouTube, but occasionally I can her garbled ‘me’ coming from my local iPad. I usually quit and reload the Wyze app, and that fixes it.

But this is a curious issue, bug wise (Wyze?)

Its a V2 . It happens even when I haven;t been on the app for ages. I checked and the push to talk is something I have not used for a while either. Its certainly turned off when this happens. The background refresh is turned on though in the app settings. I’ll turn it off and see if it makes a difference.

She hears it coming though the Wyze camera speaker that’s in our lounge from my iphone microphone when I’m off site.
Not sure 100% but it seems to have a link to when I close Netflix on my iphone. I cant seem to get it to do this when I’m at home on the same network . I’m going to try turning background app refresh off and see if that makes a difference.

My thought (and maybe experience) is they are hearing at least something from your mobile device microphone. When that happens for me I re-load the app and the problem disappears. If this is happening, we need to report t for sure.

Any more details certainly appreciated!

Is this still happening, @klawklip? If so, have you sent in a log through Account > Help & Feedback > Report an Issue? I’d like to get this over to the product team.
