Will V4 continue recording to microsd card when it is offline?

Ageed, Wyze intensionally disabling local SD recording, in direct violation of their own advertising, has nothing to do if any of Wyze customers have multiple internet providers, generators, hired security guards 24x7, years worth of food/water on site, etc

Thank you for calling his nonsense for what it is, nonsense

No, they are not related at all

First, I am not the OP, so referring to me reducing potential of my fiber line being cut (something that only took about 1 hour of my time as it was installed when I was hope, so I just put PVC in the trench and ISP pushed the fiber through it), makes no sense.

I am glad to discuss ways to improve redundancy if you would like, but a lack of redundancy in one area is no reason to design crappy products.

To be clear I do pay the $100 for Wyze Cam Plus yearly, and have multiple cameras.

If you feel the need to make suggestions to others on the internet, it would help if you first know more information about their situation. I do not have a $40 router, I have an enterprise grade firewall with 6 CPUs, dual redundant disks, 16GB RAM, enterprise grade level 3 network switch, my IOT network is separated from my main network, my cables are CAT6a riser cables (ensuring stable POE even at distance, as well as in prep to upgrade to 2.5gbps LAN and WAN in the future.

Likely best to look on OpenWRT forums, or purchase dedicated hardware with pfSense or OPNsense.

All three options support dual WAN… With pfSense and OPNsense also having high availability of the router/firewall itself (must have matching hardware and minimum /29 static IPs to allow firewall itself seamless failover
