Thanks you for answering, i thought it was for data input recording, like putting a usb stick instead of micro sd

That feature (usb stick recording) is eventually coming to the Pan Cam (only), but isn’t available yet.

So this is the USB port just above the micro USB?

Yes, the larger USB port can be used to daisy-chain power to other nearby cameras. Also, since this discussion was started they’ve introduced a sensor bridge that you can plug in there to interface motion and contact sensors to the camera network.
