Say, playing with tinycam pro, it has a deal for alerts, on the device, it sounds like a bell or some audio alert, and also flashes a red border when motion is detected. I enjoy this feature if i have my phone or tablet watching say a pet, then when they are on the move, the noise or flash draws my attention to see what they are up to. Hope this makes sense.
