V4 page says it supports wifi 6, but in the app it says 2.4ghz when setting up

The V4 is advertised as supporting wifi 6, but when connecting it in the app it says 2.4ghz only and I can’t select another connection point?

I’ve updated the app and firmware to the latest versions on android.

I can clarify the misunderstanding here.

WiFi 6 is a type of Protocol, not a Band. Instead of saying “802.11ax,” we now use the term “Wi-Fi 6”. Previous generations are retroactively labeled Wi-Fi 5: 802.11ac and Wi-Fi 4: 802.11n.

WiFi 6 operates in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands (devices can use just one or the other or both). An extended version called Wi-Fi 6E adds support for the 6 GHz band.

Basically, Wi-Fi 6 makes it possible handle more data simultaneously, allowing multiple devices to connect without slowing down the network like happens with WiFi 5 protocol and lower. Basically it allows 4 times as much throughput per user in crowded environments, uses less power, multi-user, multiple input, multiple output, and improved frequency division multiple access. Overall, it makes the devices function a lot better even if they are still on the 2.4GHz band.

In the case of the V4 cams, they still use the 2.4GHz band only. They will just work with WiFi 6 capable routers WAY BETTER.
