V2 Cameras offline 10/17/2024

Both version 2 cameras went offline on 10/17/2024 …and will no longer connect with flashing blue yellow blue light. Router reset multiple times and my v4 camera came back just fine. Many say AWS apps was down yesterday 10/17.
Last time this happened my SD cards were destroyed. These cameras were online
2 months without a glitch until now. WYZE hacked again ?!

My Cam v2s are running fine. Just wondering… how did you get your Cam v2s back up 5 months ago. Or have they been down since May?

Funny how two SD cards on two separate V2 cameras get corrupted at the same time. Wyze is being hacked or they are doing this on purpose. These are high endurance …high write cycle SD cards. Wyze never responds in this forum. Falls on deaf ears.

I got them back up by replacing the SD cards (wyze cards). Which were both simultaneously destroyed and write protected. That is no coincidence.
I suspect it has something to to do with their cam plus service.

btw i do not use cam plus but just use the app.

What brand, type and size cards are you using?

It could actually be a coincidence, if they are identical cards and were installed at the same time and have been writing 24x7, they will reach end of life right around the same time.

That should work. Not sure what to tell you. I stuck Samsung Pro Endurance 64GB cards in my Cam v2s on October 31, 2019. Other than short outages for firmware updates and a few cam relocations, they’ve been running 24/7 and doing problem-free continuous recording with those original cards.

There is a reason their cards are so inexpensive.

:raccoon: Recommended, that is why I got them some 256GB cards on Prime day for $22.99 each.

yes their cheaper but $22.00 for a 64 gb sd card is expensive nowadays …

I got my Samsung Pro Endurance 128GB for $12 each. 64GB is under $10 a piece. 5 year constant write warranty and on the 128GB, rated for about 16 years of 24x7 at the rate the Wyze cams write.
