Rather than using custom batteries in devices, stick with standard AA or AAA batteries. Custom batteries become very hard to find, especially after a manufacturer quits making the product. But AA and AAA batteries will be around long after we’re all gone. AA and AAA batteries tend to be cheaper, too.
