No, not using a “guest” SSID for Wyze devices. I use Ubiquiti Inc Unifi access points, (both indoor and outdoor). Their access points support up to 4 SSIDs per wireless LAN (WLAN) Group.
I’ve assigned the 4 SSIDs in my single WLAN Group as:
- Home: “important” / Trusted users and servers
- IoT: cameras, outlets and light switches (things that don’t directly talk to each other and are less trusted. No access to “home”)
- Guests: “transient” clients (untrusted, no access to “home”; purged from the network daily)
- Test: whatever it needs to be at the moment (currently inactive)
