What do they call a straggler steer? A dogie? A maverick? Something Western like that. 
The stragglers were the lazy kids who were probably exploring. The didn’t arrive from their storm drain fort them came from down the street, maybe a mapping session for the kids?

Could be looking for fermented peaches.
I have a tree that grows the small peaches. I picked up and discarded about 300 of them off the ground. The other day the were about 20 of them still on the ground, yesterday there were none. Some critters had a feast.
Thought I was watching a loop. One raccoon comes, one raccoon goes
