Just when I thought I would run out of personal videos to submit to the “Captured on Wyze” forum. Here is an (unlisted) edited video of a suspected arson of a portable toilet that was located in front of a house being remodeled in Oakland, California.
A reconstructed timeline of the July 29/30, 2021 events:
11:32 p.m. Person dressed in black leaves the portable toilet and walks down the hill.
11:40 p.m. First exterior flames seen.
12:01 a.m. Neighbor calls 911.
12:09 a.m. Fire engine arrives.
12:14 a.m. Fire extinguished.
Arson of portable toilets in neighboring San Francisco used to be common, with 27 of them set on fire in late 2008-late 2009. The person(s) responsible were never caught. Then there were occasional San Francisco portable toilet fires that made the news in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2017.
