Here is how I ran 45 feet to a camera from my home to under a shed roof edge where no power exists… I used 20 gauge stranded wire I purchased at a used electronics shop, and even with infrareds at night it works just fine.

Connect both ends to 20 Guage stranded wire and you’ve made your own USB cable. Each I dependant strand connects under 1 block on each end.
