Anybody else get the email for name your price person detection but not have the option after clicking the link? Did they send the email to non-legacy users as well on accident? I didn’t think I was legacy, but after I got the email, I was hoping that they liked me enough to include me anyway

When you go thru to the ‘subscribe’ bit they do say " Upgrade your Wyze Cam to notify you when a person is detected in a 12-second Event video. For full-length person detection videos, get Cam Plus Name your price. our suggested donation is $1.48 to cover our costs to provide this service*

[image] kplesz: I have the exact same problem. Events record but I don’t see any person events (I should) and filtering says upgrade to CamPlus. This shouldn’t happen. Then they must fix that. That filtering has always worked before, without CamPlus.

I’m having the same issue. I paid the donation plus some. I can not filter the person detection events though. When I click on person it just pops up an add telling me to sign up for cam plus. [image]

Do the events still have the blue/green “person” badge on them? They do for me, but I get the same “subscribe to Cam Plus” messages. @WyzeTeam please fix this!

FYI I started a new topic about it. [image] BUG: Name Your Price Breaks Person Filters Wyze AI This has been noted by several forum posters. Once they sign up and pay for Name Your Price legacy Person Detection service, they can no longer filter Person Events. Instead, every time they try they are prompted to pay for CamPlus as well. This is not how it worked before. Why would someone pay for person detection and then lose the ability to use it? It is not acceptable. Please fix it.

Thank you for starting a thread.

Why would anyone pay for this service when it only works half of the time? It’s not reliable, sometimes it picks up people, other times it doesn’t. If often thinks vehicles are people. It’s like most other things from wyze, not ready for actual use. It’s a joke IMO.

This crap is why I quit updating my cams months ago. They work fine that way.

The cost of Wyze Person Detection appears to be more than the value. The new Wyze Cam Outdoor uses passive infrared (PIR) motion detection that senses heat from people, animals and other objects such as cars and trucks. PIR is used in security systems, and motion sensitive spot lights. It reduces false alerts from waving branches and moving shadows. PIR is better than person detection because it also detects animals, cars, trucks and other large objects. PIR can be added to Wyze Cam and Wyze Cam Pan by adding Wyze Sense PIR motion sensor. It works fine outdoors if protected from rain and snow. I hope future versions of Wyze Cam and Cam Pan have built-in PIR to replace the existing primitive “motion detection” that is triggered by false alarms such as moving shadows, insects, etc.
