my wyze experience !

I’d be frustrated too if people kept repeatedly robbing me!

I don’t know that these particular factors can be held against Wyze as their fault though:

However, if you are able to afford a Corvette and people are continuously breaking into it and trying to steal it, I would consider moving somewhere else where you can put it inside a garage where it isn’t visible to people passing by. Then take off the string on the garage door opener so people can’t hook it and dislodge it. Also get a security system. Corvettes are a HUGE beacon to thieves. If you have to leave your Corvette outside and vulnerable/exposed, It might be worth getting a high-end security system with professional monitoring to watch your Corvette, especially since this is something happening to you so frequently.

If you have Wyze cams outside close enough to the Corvette to catch people’s license plates, etc, it might be good to make sure it has a strong WiFi Mesh signal too. The MINIMUM signal it should have is in the -60’s dBM range, but the lower the better. This will significantly reduce any connection issues. It might be best to put a mesh router node in between the house and the router if needed depending on the corvette location.

I’m not trying to convince you to stay with Wyze since you’ve already made your decision (and I don’t work for Wyze, so it doesn’t matter to me), but just in case you continue to have connectivity struggles with whatever you switch to in the future, here is a list of very common things that can potentially be involved in connectivity problems people have with Smart Home Devices, especially cameras. Sometimes fixing one or several of them will make a HUGE difference in your experience:

For what it’s worth, I have over 300 Wyze devices, and over 50 of them are Wyze cameras and I do not have these consistent connectivity or functionality problems. Mine all work great on Cam Unlimited, so it is absolutely possible for Wyze devices to work excellently. I found many of the problems I had in years past were related to things on that list I posted a link to. A few of those changes and I no longer had any problems and I try to share what I learned so others can have a good experience too.

I hope you’re able to find a good way to prevent people from breaking into and trying to steal your Corvette. It sounds like you must have the financial resources to get a good solution that fits your needs. It’s crazy law enforcement isn’t being as helpful when you have license plate and other info. I’d be insanely upset with them too. I’d consider taking the video evidence to a lawyer and seeing if they would be willing to start a civil lawsuit against the people who you recorded doing these things. The lawyer could probably subpoena to get info on who owns those cars and allow you to file a civil lawsuit against them even if the cops aren’t filing criminal charges like they should.

Best of luck, I hope you find something to make this stop.
