I want motion sense to turn off when I’m coming home and turning on when I’m leaving by using the camera to trigger this to happen. Any suggestions? BTW Hello everyone I’m a new user. I just purchased my starter pack yesterday. It seems a little hard to get the shortcuts and rules set up the way I want them to.
Either I don’t understand all the components you have for your system, or I see a minor flaw in your desired rule.
If you use the camera to turn motion detection off when you come home (another issue: how will it know it’s you, and not someone else?), how will the camera know when you’ve left?
One possible solution would be using IFTTT and a combination of location services combined with motion detection to trigger the state of the motion detection.
