Most people who are happy don’t come to a forum to say so 🌞

Fantastic. Enjoy. :parasol_on_ground: :dark_sunglasses: :sun_with_face: :lotion_bottle: :thong_sandal: :beach_umbrella:

Not only that you Arte old but you are senile too  I think I told you that I haven’t seen my friends since last summer. Me and the wife are going on a road trip to New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.

No cabin till September I’m afraid.

would be interesting see stats, but stats are probably marketing secret, there are useful posts like about concatenating files from sd card but majority are trolls who know nothing, like that norom about wpa3 not preventing jamming, sometimes is fun read their nonsense

If I had a better understanding on how to use these forums, I would use them more often. (But then what can you expect from an 80-year-old?)

A youngster. My dad is 92 and I am surprised he still has his tech smarts. It can happen. I haven’t reached 70 yet, but I can see your point.

I don’t know why this has been assigned to me. It seems like it might be better suited to an organization like the Summerlin Foundation.

The statement is certainly true and it applies overall, not just to this forum or this product… people who are happy with a product typically don’t give a lot of feedback about it while people who are unhappy are more likely to say something.

But that is the satellite view from space without looking any closer. There are a lot of other factors involved in considering the content of forums like this and of reviews, starting with the fact that reviews are much different from forums like this.

The overwhelming majority of reviews are generally useless because they are posted soon after a product arrives and reflect only a first impression. Consider how many reviews you have read that include a statement like “I will update this review after …” but the review is never updated. How many 5-star reviews have you read that start with the phrase “I haven’t tried this yet, but…” How many 1-star reviews have you read that start with “I ordered this a month ago and it hasn’t arrived yet” or “UPS lost my package”

Forum posts rarely reflect a first impression of a product, but might be a first impression of an update or a new item in a product line. And, as the title of this thread suggests, most forum posts will be about problems.

Most companies are well aware of this and will sometimes use it as an excuse to double-down on outrageously bad product development decisions. Microsoft has been known to use this principle to cite their hundreds of millions of satisfied users based on the concept that everyone who hasn’t complained must be a “satisfied user.”

Many companies use a mix of reviews and forums to guide future development. Some do it very well, some do it very poorly. Most companies get mixed results trying to apply customer feedback. The reality is that development decisions are made by people, some of whom may not use the product at all, and almost all of whom probably don’t use the product the same way you do.

@habib is off humming at the stars :person_in_lotus_position: on a mountaintop somewhere with his wife (vacation) so I’ll step in.

I’m not sure I can add or take issue with anything you’ve said (there are others here who slice and dice much finer than I so hang on a minute for the possibility  ) so I’ll just say thanks for the solid comment and I hope to see you again around the boards!

I concur with @peepeep. Your response was a solid explanation of things.

It is not that I am totally inept when it comes to technical, after all I did build my own Microwave oven back in the late 60’s, early 70’s. It’s just that all of this point and click stuff can get kind of confusing when it takes you someplace you have never been.

I hope I didn’t infer that.

I remember my dad buying our first Amana microwave. It was magical.
