Help me out here, besides being a cool and overpriced toy, are there any practical applications to it?
Nope. Well not to this particular object anyway, but the wire EDM cutting process I’m assuming has tons of applications for precision machining. I’d be willing to bet if you oiled those two pieces up, they’d probably create a perfect seal that can withstand some pretty decent pressure.
I would assume there are going to be some luxury items made using it, TV that rises up out of a seemingly solid cabinet top, etc. Stuff none of us will ever own
