Why does the new cam pan v3 work with the home monitor system?

I am a bit confused by your question.
The Cam Pan V3 is not currently available to be integrated as a Security Cam within the Home Monitoring System because the current production App is older than the cam. The App hasn’t been updated since before the cam was released.
The next App update is currently in final Release Candidate Beta testing. I have been told that the Beta being tested does list the Cam Pan V3 as an available cam for integration into the HMS.
Keep an eye out for an App update. After that, you should see it populate in your selection list.
