I understand the reason to keep the cloud-based videos to 12 seconds, and alert only once per 5 minutes. And I would rather not pay $x per month for service.

How about a way to Bring Your Own Cloud? Some of us already use AWS S3, and if there was a way to setup Wyzecam to store in a user-define S3 bucket, it would allow cloud storage w/o major changes to your code and it would change your value prop of zero service fees. It would also allow us to maybe play with Rekognition or Deeplens?

It could actually end up saving Wyze Labs $ in the long run.

Maybe an advanced option to maintain ease of use for those who just want plug and play.
Other advanced tab options:

  • Static IPs? Easier that setting IP reservation on router.
