I recently had trouble with the solar pan cams. Wyze has been helpful and gave me a store credit so I purchased the only outdoor wireless camera which included a solar panel. I understand that it’s all about making money but the camera doesn’t record to an SD card unless you pay for a monthly subscription. I only need the camera occasionally so I don’t see the point in paying a monthly fee. The camera hasn’t been sending notifications until today because it’s windy. Of course I look at the notification and there is absolutely nothing to see as to what triggered it.
So basically this camera is absolutely of no use and without a pan feature it’s pointless.
I will try a different SD card. It gets a pic “recent events” when I go to SD card nothing. Notifications are sporadic sometimes it picks things up and sometimes not.
The notifications aren’t related to the SD card, that can be related to connectivity or even power saving on your phone (I’ve had to tweak some settings on my Android to make them consistent).
Do you have the card set to continuous or event only? When you go to the pic of the event then tap the “SD Card” icon it has nothing there (no video at this time or whatever it says)?
Worth noting with event only recording, when you go to the SD card normally (linking from live view and not directly from the event in the list) and try to play events, it can be very difficult to get it in the right spot unless you zoom in on the timeline, or use the forward and back “event skip” arrows that are on the video.
