Design problem on robot dust bin

Loving the robot vacuum! But…
The dust bin has a small tab in the middle along the front edge. Its purpose seems to be to aid in the removal of the bin.

Yesterday when I was trying to open the bin (after having removed it) to get the crud out I torqued the tab by accident and it broke off. (The accident happened because you have to torque that edge to open the bin, and the tab is right in line with the place you would torque).

But here’s the design flaw: It is now easier to get the bin in and out: the tab does not seem to have any real function. When I put the bin back in, the vac was perfectly happy with it.

Maybe the bin could have just a little knurl on that indentation rather than a breakage-prone tab.
