Animal detection would be good in the use case of a pet getting into an area it’s not suppose to and even as a trigger for automation, e.g open a door/gate, control a feeder etc.
First of all love wyze their the best
I was thinking yesterday what would be really nice if we could adjust the time what we want on recording
So we don’t have to run continuous to get everything
let us adjust the time to record when it senses movement
Also let us adjust the time in between recordings not 2 minutes just some ideas I thought of
The number one guiding principle of Wyze’s AI development should be privacy. The user should have complete control over their data and not just “transparency” in the form of “we told you how we were going to screw you in the EULA” or “you can’t use the stuff you purchased without losing control of your data.” Engineer Zero Knowledge solutions from Day One and do not rely upon policy to protect data. Policy does not protect from future management, hackers, courts, disgruntled employees, government, good faith errors, etc.
How about car license plate recognition with a thumbnail. I would like to see this in the future.
Definitely that is one of directions on our roadmap, thanks for bring this up, Paulo! One more question, are you using any third party platform in connect thins together right now? e.g. homekit, smartthings, ifttt?
That’s a pretty interesting story. I’m thinking, in that case, can we just do pet detection, instead of recognition? (detect all dogs, not only yours) I guess your backyard is only open to your dog?
I have used a variety of platforms for composing rules and interfacing my devices in the past. IFTTT, Smarthings, Stringify, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Tasker, Simple Rule Builder, Yonomi, Sharptools, ActionTiles, Webcore to name a few but have settled on:
- Google Home for voice automation
- ActionTiles for touch/display interface
- Smartthings as my main Hub although I am looking into Hubitat for local processing
I have over 250 devices across 2 homes and mainly use Z-wave devices with some Zigbee light bulbs and a bunch of Google/Insignia WiFi speakers and displays along with cameras from various vendors (Wyze, Yi, Blink, Google, Ring, Foscam). My goal has always been to automate everything. Set the devices up with rules and sensors and forget about them. With the proper rules engine you shouldn’t have to turn anything on or off. When I do need to interface with a device I use Google voice. I also have a manual back up for guests and family. I wish there was one Hub/Interface to do everything but until then I have to combine a number of these things together to make everything work properly. Apilio will be the next thing I test out for a rules engine. Keep up the good work. Love your cameras and if I could request an increase in the number of simultaneous views to more than 4 along with Google Chrome OS app integration that would be great.
When I took it, it said negative something and I was supposed to send money to someone named Vinnie Da Moocher
I got 110 too and was excited until I saw someone post 130…
I would like to see the A.I. training better detect people in low light conditions. Also to be able to detect shadows caused by trees blowing in the wind. My house is surrounded by trees and it would be helpful to not get as many false events or to simply be able to filter them out. Potentially also filtering out false events caused by bugs passing over or on the camera.
Also I’m curious timewyze how much longer the A.I. will be in training for person detection?
I LOVE the person detection setting. It is an amazing capability for a $20 camera and I tell all my friends about WYZE. As constructive criticism, I would probably agree with your second point about the 5-minute cool down. I do miss some person notifications because a different motion notification happened within the last 5 minutes. I wonder if there is a way to completely separate them? That way the regular motion and the person detection don’t interfere with each other for those wanting to keep them separate. Thanks for all you do and making an awesome product for those of us on a budget!
Congrats! AI supreme! You score is: 100 . Share it with your friends and see who stands out! Also don’t forget to check our Wyze AI product!
For the shadow, have you tried adjust the sensitivity? Probably set to 25 or 30 may help reduce the frequency.
Did something have to the AI algorithm? Was is reset?
I’m getting so many false positive person detections it’s pointless to even on have it on.
I received a score o 100 until I saw someone had received a 140, then this queen bee’s ego deflated.
can you share some videos with us to tap into the problem?
Yes. I’ve been sharing them and marking them as no person seen for weeks now.
is this happening on only one camera? did anything change, ( did you do a reset or something like that?)
